RIDE 3 – To Tri-Cities

This will be the most scenic of all NW rides (wildlife, waterfalls, hatchery and other attractions along the Columbia River Gorge). Once in the Tri-Cites (Pasco, Richland and Kennewick), Stella will loop the region to visit with Burmese families.  Join Stella for a day ride (see schedule below) or tag along for the full journey. The ride has a total ascent of 10,006.56 ft and has a maximum elevation of 1,922.57 ft.!  Remember, these rides are NOT supported, so if you would like to cycle along, please provide your own transportation, meals, lodging, bike repair etc.and accept the POLICY before agreeing to ride. Level 1: Can ride up to 20 miles, familiar with shifting gears and can handle an occasional short, steep hill or a longer gradual climb of up to 1/2 mile at your own pace.

Level 2: Comfortable riding at 12 m.p.h., 25-30 miles 2/wk, can handle one-mile hill at your own pace, regular in other aerobic activities such as jogging or spinning classes.

Level 3: You like a faster pace with fewer breaks, ride several times a week and do regular weekend rides of 35-50 miles. You don’t mind hills.

Level 4: An avid biker, you’ve “been there and done that,” and seek out major miles, challenging climbs, and thrilling descents.
